The 9th Traditional First My Helmet Event was organized at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.

The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of our University organized the 9th traditional first baretim event for the 1st year Civil Engineering students.

Former Minister of State Metin Gürdere, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Prof. Dr. Tekin Susam, Advisor to the Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Sözen, Head of Civil Engineering Department Assoc. Dr. Murat Çavuş, academicians and civil engineering students attended the program held at Şehit Ferhat Kaya Conference Hall.

Speaking at the opening of the event, which started with a music recital, Head of Civil Engineering Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Çavuş wished the students success in their education and professional life. Metin Gürdere, Former Minister of State, gave examples from his professional experiences about the importance of Civil Engineering, working areas and the issues that civil engineer candidates should pay attention to in their education and professional life in our country, which is in an earthquake zone.

At the end of the program, 1st year Civil Engineering students were presented with their hard hats, the symbol of their profession. The event ended with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the participants.
