Definition of Computer Engineering

Department of Computer Engineering provides training on the structure of computer systems, development and methods of effective use of these systems and conducts researches. Computer engineering involves

  • Analysis,
  • Design,
  • Realization,
  • Testing,
  • Development

of information systems including computer hardware and software to provide solutions to various problems. The main fields of computer engineering are software design, programming, algorithm design, operating systems, computer networks, database design and embedded systems.


Computer Engineering Undergraduate Program

The Undergraduate Program of the Department of Computer Engineering is a 4-year program consisting of 8 semesters of 30 ECTS each, equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS.  The compulsory courses in the department are grouped into basic science, engineering and field courses. In addition to the compulsory courses, there are technical and non-technical elective courses in the program. Minor Program is applied in different departments of our university and our department, The Double Major Program is implemented with our Department and Departments of Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering.  Every year, our students benefit from the student exchange programs at different universities in Europe within the framework of the "Socrates-Erasmus" program and at different universities in Turkey within the framework of the Farabi program.


Department of Computer Engineering


In the Department of Computer Engineering, 6 faculty members (Assistant Professor), 1 lecturer and 3 research assistants carry out education and research activities. Students were admitted to the department in 2016.
